Attending
a college football game is an excellent way
to spend a day with your family. If
you have an RV, the fun can be even more exciting
and you can turn the trip into a long weekend!
A few years ago the NCAA® began a nationwide
effort aimed at adults asking them to take children
to college athletic events. The program is called
“Take a Kid to the Game”. To learn
more about it please visit www.takg.com.
In addition, most universities have created
kids clubs sometimes known as ‘kidzones’
or other names, which are designed to get younger
fans more involved in their athletic programs.
Be sure to check your favorite team for a kids
club!
The RV park information below
is for NCAA® division 1-A football stadiums
(not including the University of Hawaii). For
fans of basketball or another sporting event,
the athletic websites usually have parking and/or
contact information for those contests too.
Most of the ticket offices can help with specific
parking questions. One of the facts our research
uncovered is not all stadiums are ‘RV
friendly’. Many of the larger facilities
that
do accommodate RV’s on game day may require
special parking permits purchased in advance

season
beginning. In some instances only athletic association
donors and/or season ticket holders are eligible
for these passes. It is for this reason we
are publishing this listing now at the end of
the current football season. Just as a student
would prepare now to enroll in a university
next fall, so should you begin thinking about
your 2006 football travel plans.
However, many stadiums have public RV
parking for single game tickets and we strive
to make those venues known on this website.
For those families who want to attend a game
but might enjoy a campground environment over
a campus tailgating site, our RV park listings
herein should help with your travel plans. As
a matter of common sense and practicality we
cannot endorse or guarantee your satisfaction
with any specific RV park or other facility
listed in our website. As always you are encouraged
to do your own research with each campground
operator and “know before you go”.
If you plan on parking in a public RV site near
a stadium, we recommend making good plans and
getting there early. You might think
about conducting a ‘scouting’ trip
in advance to a stadium, especially if it’s
a location reasonably close by. Do expect to
learn a lot from your first game day RV experience.
Most all the college athletic websites have
links to information on football game day parking.
Since this information can and does change,
we cannot guarantee all information is accurate
at game time. Always call the university and
verify any RV parking before you leave home.
When the 2006 football season kicks off next
year, we hope to see your family with us at
one of the games!
